About Betsy Klein
Advocate

Betsy Klein is a wildlife advocate dedicated to protecting wolves and ending wildlife cruelty. She helped lead the successful campaign to ban wildlife killing contests in Arizona, making it the fourth state in the nation to outlaw the practice.
Betsy co-produced Almost Ancestors, an award-winning short film that explores the parallel displacement of wolves and Indigenous peoples in the Southwest. The film screened at 22 festivals worldwide and earned 19 awards, including the prestigious Cannes International Film Competition Award for Best Screenplay and Cannes International Film Competition Semi-Finalist for Best Documentary Short. She also co-created initiatives, including Sedona Wolf Week with Apex Protection Project and the international I AM WOLF NATION™ campaign.
She now serves on the Board of Wolves and Wildlife Advocates, working to establish stronger laws against the cruelty and torture of wildlife, while advocating for wolves in key states such as Montana, Colorado, and Wyoming.
Before focusing exclusively on advocacy, Betsy co-founded Plan B to Save Wolves, whose nonprofit arm helped fund and support the rescue of more than 400 wolfdogs in just six years. With a background in marketing, strategic planning, and communications, she brings both creativity and tactical expertise to wildlife advocacy—building campaigns that raise awareness and drive lasting change.
